Firstly, I need to explain about the sudden work trip to Kuching, Sarawak two days ago. Apparently a day before the trip, my boss called me and confirmed the project. It was actually handled by another colleague, but last minute he was not free, so I go instead.
Let's talk about my trip. Speaking about that, I still have not sent in my feedback to Malaysia Airlines (MAS). My flight was supposed to be at 8:15am but as I arrived in KLIA, I saw the announcement "Flight to Kuching - Cancelled". Hell! The next flight would be at 10:25am. What's the point for me waking up so early then? What's worse, when we were all ready to depart, they had this 'technical problem' and delayed another 20 minutes. AirAsia and MAS are both the same... disappointing.
Top Spot Food CourtAfter the focus group ended in the noon, we went out to have 'kolo mee' and 'kuching laksa' for brunch. Since it's a less than 24-hours trip, we did not manage to go places like Sarawak Cultural Village, National park and etc. At night, we had seafood in Top Spot Food Court. As all the shops serve the same things, we just went for the one with most people. Guess what, the seafood is just so cheap. We estimated the price would be at least RM80-100, but it turned out to be only RM49! That is something we can never get in KL.
Later, we walked to the Riverfront/Waterfront, Pandungan and around the area. I saw some happening clubs around thou, but since I am a good boy, I never get in-lah. Half way touring the places, it started to rain, then we had our coffee in Coffee Bean and headed back to Hotel after that.
The MAS air ticket from Sarawak is different than the one from Kuala Lumpur, they got this Sarawakian uniqueness printed in the ticket.
New Kuching Airport
The new Kuching Airport is pretty nice and clean (because it's new what). Not many shops are available thou, and the food are just so-so. Overall okay only-lah.

Actually the seafood you went is one of the expensive restaurant in town :)
And lucky you didn't went to the clubs there.. its boring..

Miao, oh? that's consider one of the most exp? Hmm... but the people recommended the place. Overall, the seafood is good, especially the prawn is fresh but the greens are just alright.
I heard there's one famous club there thou... Every Friday night is their ladies night.
Haha! I can drive you out but I would not know where to bring you to 'cos I had been studying in Selangor for 4 years and I am not very close to Kuching. My family moved here few years back ('cos my father is stationed to work here) lol
Finally I am a graduate and settling myself in Kuching. Currently learning the places/destinations in Kuching lol
Haha, I can bring you instead... I did some research before going to Kuching. But I wouldn't know if the places are nice or worth. That's how tourist often get cheated isn't it? Haha.
glad you like sarawak and its food. they are indeed cheaper than what u get in KL hehe~ but sarawak cultural village is quite far thou u need a day trip to go there, but overall kuching is nice lar. come again!
