Heineken presents A Night In Rome

I was waiting for my friends to pick me up, so I was late and missed the fashion show. I reached Hap Seng Star, Mercedes Benz at around 11pm.

I met Loo Ann at the entrance, apparently she was working for the event. It has been some time since the last time we met. Jeslin was there as well.

The show room is a pretty good place to hold an event. The environment and surrounding is all right, but I think the sound system at outside of the show room is better than the inside.

Lap Sap only started spinning at around 12:30am, after the competition and prize giving. Bumblebeez was playing at the first half.

As for the lucky draw, you will be given a set of numbers when you purchase a bucket of Heineken. If you own a Heineken member card, you can get 10% discount too.

Marion Caunter was the host of the night. She is definitely gorgeous!

Six people were selected through the lucky draw, and were proceed to the next competition which tests your knowledge about Football.

This guy answered 5 questions correctly and became the champion of the event. He won himself a ticket to Rome to watch the UEFA Champions League Final.

We left the place around 1pm, and headed to our "usual place". Where is it? Haha.

Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) was founded by the conductor, Kees Bakels in year 1998. The MPO's mission is to build interest and encourage people in Malaysia to appreciate classical music.

Thanks Nuffnang for giving me the opportunity to have a deeper understanding in both MPO and classical music. This is the first time for me attending any concert held by MPO and it is a really good exposure.

PETRONAS Philharmonic Hall is indeed a well built hall for music concerts. The surrounding is simply near perfect.

As for the performance, it was impressive. The pieces were well portrayed and the style was depicted. I personally enjoy wind orchestra, so I do not know much about strings.

Conductor: Kees Bakels

1. Divertimento on "Sellinger's Round" by Michael Tippett
2. Symphony No.98 in B flat by Franz Joseph Haydn
3. Symphony No.103 in E flat - "Drumroll" by Franz Joseph Haydn

Markus Gundermann the concertmaster which played the solo in 2nd movement of both first and third pieces was awesome. Every single note and the articulations were precisely well played.

A shot taken by wei² illegally

The group of nuffnangers were there as well, but I have no guts to approach them. Haha. Well, after the concert wei² and I headed back to SP for friend's birthday party, and later Poppy.

p/s: In the past, music was a pastime that enjoyed by nobility, but yet now people find it boring and hypnotising. Why like that one?! =P

Girls vs. Grown Women

I read this from liewling's blog and I find it rather interesting and quite true. Not that I am a girl, but as a guy's prospect.

Girls leave their schedule wide-open and wait for a guy to call and make plans.

Grown women make their own plans and nicely tell the guy to get in where he fits

**********

Girls want to control the man in their life.

Grown women know that if he's truly hers, he doesn't need controlling.

**********

Girls check you for not calling them.

Grown women are too busy to realize you hadn't.

**********

Girls are afraid to be alone.

Grown women revel in it-using it as a time for personal growth.

**********

Girls ignore the good guys.

Grown women ignore the bad guys.

**********

Girls make you come home.

Grown women make you want to come home.

**********

Girls worry about not being pretty and/or good enough for their man.

Grown women know that they are pretty and/or good enough for any man.

**********

Girls try to monopolize all their man's time ( i.e., don't want him hanging with his friends).

Grown women realize that a lil' bit of space makes the 'together time' even more special-and goes to kick it with her own friends!

**********

Girls think a guy crying is weak.

Grown women offer their shoulder and a tissue.

**********

Girls want to be spoiled and 'tell' their man so.

Grown women 'show' him and make him comfortable enough to reciprocate without fear of losing his 'manhood'.

**********

Girls get hurt by one man and make all men pay for it.

Grown women know that that was just one man.

**********

Girls fall in love and chase aimlessly after the object of their affection, ignoring all 'signs'.

Grown women know that sometimes the one you love, don't always love you back-and move on, without bitterness.

**********

Are you a girl or a grown woman?

p/s: Grown woman does not mean you are old. It's mentality wiser and brighter. Did I mention guys prefer the mentality of grown women than girls, that written above?

Another Fallen Brother

For those who aware, I am currently staying in Kota Kemuning due to some reasons. I didn't get to contact much with my buddies back in SP lately. Earlier, I was chatting with one of my buddies and so happened I asked for updates within the group, and he told me this.

Isaac says:
Any updates lately?

Fong says:
Nope, except one.
Terrence and I realized that ever since Mok watched movie with Jee Yee last Saturday.
He never call us already.

Isaac says:
Horrrrrr!

Fong says:
I think he wanted to be another s***i f**.
LOL.

Isaac says:
Shit! Mokkkkkkkk!

*The Mok has fallen*

FYI, this is an inside joke. Sorry Mok, I am so disappointed if you are to be one as well, but I am still happy for you, that you found 'the one'. Haha.

Swiped Twice

As planned, I went to office and passed some working materials to my colleague. Suddenly I had the urged to go shopping in Bangsar. I am being random again. I managed to get myself a tee and a shorts. I was happily swiping my card for all the purchases. The problem comes after reaching home, I checked on my Maybank2u account and I found that my card has been swiped twice for the same item!

Charged twice RM159.00

The next day I went back to the shop and told them about it. The merchant made some calls to the financial department, and then to the bank. After half an hour, she said the first transaction was actually pending, but the staff thought it was failed so the staff made another transaction. She told me that the bank would credit the money back into my account.

Refunded

The next day I checked on it, my money is credited. Lucky! Not that I blame them for the mistake they made. Apparently, they do have a bad record. One of my friends bought some stuff from that shop using credit card as well. Few days later, the bank called her and confirmed with her if she did purchase any air tickets using the credit card that cost RM4000, which she did not. After some track back made, they found the last transaction was made at this shop.

I do not know if it is mere coincidence or something are behind all these. Well, just a piece of advice for people who are going to get something using credit card, always double check!

Fast & Furious 4 Review

I was looking forward to watch this movie very much after knowing it will be air on April. Anyway, I watched a day later after the movie was officially aired. Fast & Furious 4 is like a must movie for every guy who loves cars and girls.

The beginning of the movie is pretty good. Nice introduction with lots of actions. The whole movie did not really talk about cars, it's more towards the continuously storyline for Fast & Furious I.

Paul Walker as Brian O'Conner

Brian O'Conner was appeared in every series of Fast & Furious except the Tokyo Drift. He learnt about car racing from Dominic.

Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto

Dominic Toretto made his appearance in the first The Fast and Furious and also the third The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Michelle Rodriguez as Letty

Letty is Dominic's girl friend. She just appeared for a short period on the movie. Pretty a waste.

Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto

Mia Toretto, Dominic Toretto's sister and also Brian O'Conner's girl friends. If you ever watch the first Fast and Furious, you should know how they got together. By the way, in this series, they are already separated. I like Mia, she looks so cute with the fringe.

I do like their racing very much especially in the tunnel, but it is a bit illogical. It is sort of impossible for someone who is unfamiliar with the way, yet to control the car and react so fast in the dark. Anyhow it still entertains me.

Overall, it is a really good action movie. The storyline is alright with not extreme graphical usage on the film. A 1 hour and 50 minutes show, worth to watch it in the cinema. Although there are censorship in 2 parts of the movie (Malaysia only).

Overall rating is 7/10.

Depressing

Day after day, my life gets more miserable than ever. In merely few months time, 3 people that I care and treasure left me without a single reason. I just got removed from their important list. They just stopped talking to me, avoiding me and ignore my questions and even messages. It is not convincing me without knowing what caused the problem. It is like a prisoner got prosecuted without knowing what crime he committed.

I am not perfect, I am not able to control anyone or able to make everyone happy with me. But having someone who used to be so close with you just stopped talking and ignoring you are definitely hurts. Did I say something wrong or something that I did that made them angry? I seriously have no idea. I really wish I could talk to them about it. I do not want any misunderstanding just ruined the bond between us. I used to lose someone due to misunderstanding and I hope history does not repeat.

In fact, I really wish they did not made the decision to hate me just because of what they heard from the third parties. Recently I have been really tired, moody and strained. I had enough of bad news, I can take it no more.

April Fools Prank

I was not aware when the clock stroked at 12 and it is no longer March. Hope my bad luck goes away with the month. Anyway, I just got to know its April Fools 'Day when angelkien told me in messenger. This is the first time I really prank someone after all these years on April Fools 'Day.

During the past midnight, I messaged one of my close high school friend back in Ipoh, currently he is studying in NUS (National University of Singapore). Below is the conversation.

Isaac says:
I wonder if you're free on May 9?
Could you come to KL?

Stephen says:
Why?

Isaac says:
Urm... I'm getting married.

Stephen says:
Huh? You are serious?

Isaac says:
Yeah man... I just got the news last week.
I need to deal with it ASAP... F**king deep shit.

Stephen says:
Walaoweh... you serious not?
Why never use rubber?

Isaac says:
That day she called and told me her period has been late for some time, so I bought her the tester.
See see, double line!

Stephen says:
Your parents know about this?

Isaac says:
Yea, I've told them and got sounded really badly.
I can't study in UK anymore.

Stephen says:
Wah... think I can make it because my exam's over.
I should be able to go la.

Isaac says:
Serious?? Thanks man.
Seriously very appreciate if you can make it.

Stephen says:
Ok man!

Isaac says:
I'm going to call others and inform them.

Stephen says:
Ok.

Isaac says:
Sleep early. Good night...

Stephen says:
Yeah... You too man!

Isaac says:
and Happy April Fools 'Day.

*paused for few seconds*

Stephen says:
I'm f**king going to kill you.

Anyhow, he is cool with it after scolding me with all the @#&$%! Haha, and I am glad he will come all the way to KL to attend my wedding dinner. =D

Unavoidable

Things have never be the same ever since the incident happened. That brought me into the state of regretful and miserable. Ignorance is unavoidable, it has to be, and it is going on. Feeling empty deep down in my heart. Although it is not a direct ignorant, but I can feel it. It is saddening.

To be able for 2 person to meet is not hard or easy, but when it does, that is what we called fate. The closeness of friendship is beyond measurement. The moment of separation is like piercing yourself with a long sharp spear. Whatever was done, cannot be undone. All I can do is hope for a miracle to happen, faded memories, and forgiveness. But everything will never be the same again.
