Ever since the news breaks out about Dragonball Evolution, I am sure a lot of fans are attracted to it, and to see how their childhood fan-comic would turn out be in a movie.

After all the updates and trailer were out, we can ensure the movie is not going to turn out like in the comic book (manga). The challenging parts of this film are finding the suitable people for the characters and also the Goku's hair-do. As expected, it did not satisfy the fans.
As for the storyline, it was expected to be differing from the original story as it happened to any other comic-to-movie, such as Transformers, X-Men and etc... but never thought it would be so different and cramp everything in 1 hour and 29 minutes movie.
This is Goku, to begin with, his hair is just so-not-Goku and he appeared to be a low self-esteem guy in his high school. Btw, this Goku goes to high school. LOL.
This is ChiChi, Goku's future wife, and I would say the most favourable character in the whole movie which even surpressed the main character, Goku.
After watching this movie, no doubt the keyword for 'Jamie Chung' in Google increased twice the amount. Almost all the guys are practically in love with ChiChiand her cleavage.

Master Roshi, the perverted old man who loves young ladies. Overall, I think this character is portrayed as the most similar to the one in manga. Only without the spectacles and his turtle shell.

Bulma, the rich scientist girl. She supposed to be a young sweet looking Japanese girl. I just do not get it why she turned out to be like this. No comment.

As for Piccollo, he became a not-so-greenish-alien. He looks more like a character from Stargate or HellBoy, and where are his tentacles?
Perhaps those who never read the manga before would find this movie better than those who did. The graphic is alright, but the dressing and characters are rather disappointing (no originality). As for the storyline, I think they compressed too much and rushing for an ending.
Overall my rating for this movie is 4.5/10.
Last but not least, thank you Nuffnang for the Premiere Screening Ticket.
