As we flip the newspaper, world section, almost the whole paper is all about Israel-Hamas war. There are even sections about 'boycott U.S. products', 'protest in U.S. embassy', 'death toll raising' and etc... But do people really get in details why this happens? Or are we just blindly support and follow what we read in newspaper everyday?
I personally find it is something unavoidable, not anyone can actually get involve or commenting about it. Of course killing normal civilians is unacceptable but that does not mean we can put all blames on Israel. They are also trying to protect their own people and it was a counterattack over Hamas rocket attacks earlier. Who are we to judge who is right or wrong?

I just hope we, Malaysians get a better understanding over a problem before start judging or determine one's right or wrong.

i follow this news closely and i do know bout this war even though not in details since i studied it back in college part of my political studies.
it's saddening to read the news and at the same time i feel helpless. not because i as an individual can't do anything but the other nations' government can't do anything as well other than using words and soft power to stop the war, it is just a sight of hope. how effective is uncertain.

The things I am about to write are the things I have read over the years and some might appear to be blurry, but I have revisited some sites to recall my memory.
It is true that we cannot put all the blame onto Israel. It is true that over the years, HAmas has launched rockets to Israel. READ: HAMAS (note: Hamas is a political group with a military division that kinda governs palestine or someshit like that, don't generalize all Palestinians as Hamas.)
Now the question is why Palestines launched the rockets in the first place, over the course of 7 years? (since 2001)
As have been stated in the link, the Jews fleed from Europe to now Israel, the supposed soil of their ancestor. However, Ishmael's ascendants (now the arabs) are already there, and claimed that land was theirs too.
As stated in the link too, U.N have divided this land to 2/3 Palestine and 1/3 Israel. The world shows the Palestinians as the rough, rowdy necked people who throwed a tantrum claiming the other 1/3 piece of land as theirs.
The arabs become dissatisfied because in their own supposed land that they have been given the right with, they are being oppressed by the Zionists.
In their own land, they have little rights. The IDF (Israel defense force) have been known to attack paramedics, journalists, human rights workers etc so on in Palestine. (this is before the war now) I recall in an interview i read of a journalist interviewing a soldier in IDF, it states something like this. In the media, it is reported that IDF will shoot Palestinians above the age of 18 who fights back, considering them as a threat. But the IDF soldier himself confessed that the government has told them that the legal age for them to shoot is kids aged 12 and above.
When people are oppressed, they become desperate. When people are desperate, they do desperate acts.
The claimings that Palestine throwing rockets to Israel is true, in fact it has happened since 2001.
From 2001 til now (7 years+), only 23 israelies are killed. (http://gpolya.newsvine.com/_news/2008/12/27/2250805-10-to-1-themus-death-ratio-so-far-in-israeli-gaza-reprisals). The death tolls for Palestinians till now I do not have the number of, but it is AT LEAST 1100 + with more than 300 INNOCENT CHILDRENS.
I am not saying killing 23 isralies compared with 1100 arabs is right, it is still WRONG. But the media has exaggerated it to such an epic proportion.
Btw Israel has been killing palestinians since 1967 to drive them off the edge of their own land and force them to go away, but of course you dont see this in the media now.
Why are they able to do this? They have the support of the UN and veto power of the US of course.
Again. im NOT saying who kills most matters, who shoot 1st matters blablabla. Im not saying whos right or whos wrong you can be teh judge yourse. If we want to keep blaming, the blaming will never end.
It doesnt matter who is right or who is wrong, but the innocent ones who are getting killed does matter! It doesnt matter whos right or wrong when it involves the innocents and the childrens. The war must stop for this very reason.
